For all of you saying she looks fat, umm how many of you think that after having a baby you are going to go right back to the same size. 4 months ago isn't long. How many of you are also can look even near and pretty as her, probably none.

In response to this ignorant statement, maybe she found the other performance fantastic and wanted to recreate it, singers do it ALL THETIME in songs. Are you that close minded and uncultured to listen to songs from the 50s and 60s. Alot of 'new' artist revap songs.

People need to quit being judgmental about weight. If she gave a crap about everyone else's two-bit ignornat statements, she, nor any person in the public eye would ever go into the public. Dissing her for being "fat" as you call it just makes her laugh.

Let's not forget Britney and Christina are two different artist who are aiming for different music direction. Christina is a screamer while Britney got the soft low key voice. Chrisitina got the sexy body and Britney got the face. Both are equally good so let's not compare!... But wait, I think I just did... oh well!

She looks stunning! I loved her performance and can't wait til her new album comes out!

To the homegirl(Louisiana Lovely)- Have you ever breastfed a baby? Because I have and I went up almost 3 full cup sizes. Your boobs definately get bigger. And I think Christina looked amazing in that dress! I was a bit disappointed with her lip synching, but I've heard her sing a capella before and her voice is incredible. I'll just chalk this up as 1 not-so-great performance out of the many great performances she's had.

As for Britney, she did look better at the VMAs. She has hair now & she didn't have a cigarette hangin' out of her mouth. Too bad the opening with her was majorly lame.... And after last years horrible performance, I still can't believe she got a VMA this year-I think everyone felt sorry for her....
I can say one good thing about Brit - she's got beautiful children. Let's hope she has gotten her act together for their sake....

that's a really nice dress. But I still don't like her. She's annoying and superficial. Too bad since she's a great singer, her attitude takes away from that.

I understand her completely, being a fan I just do. Christina has always wanted to reinvent herself artistically and musically, and that is what she is doing. She could have not sung that song live because it would have changed the effect of the performance. If she were to sing that song live, the performance would have to change. Christina would have mimed for a reason, possibly because she really wanted to dance and express herself visually, and let her fans get to know what her new "genre" of music was through the "CD Version", as well as the look which is always important to her.
Yes, we know she has one of, if not the best voices in the world, but Christina also came into this business to entertain and I believe that is what the vmas performance was all about. I was entertained in another way but yes I do prefer to hear her sing live cause she is genuinly better (but this is a new era of Christina so I am up for whatever, I just believe in her). As for the dress, I love it...I love her new look.

I love Christina, what an amazing voice she has, but I was disappointed with the lip synching. However, she looked fabulous doing so.

As for the look above.... I like how she did something different with her hair. I like the straight look and the bangs fit her. The makeup is also much softer and fresher. I'm glad she ditched the red lipstick and went for a more natural lip, but with some drama makeup around the eyes. The dress is ugly though. The dress reminds me of Elvira. The dress would look so much better without the foo-foo at the bottom. I would have enjoyed this dress if it were a mini or if it went just to the knees. Christina looks beautiful still though.

please people dont hate on her!! shes one of the TRUE talents in the buisness STILL! yeah i was also a lil diappointed she lip synced part of her song but shes still awesome and deserves nothing but good things! shes an amazing vocalist. its a shame that MTV gives britney spears awards when all she does is lip sync every song. thats not talent. christina is REAL talent!!!

I loved Christina's look and her performance, she is the only person besides rihanna that sang and looked great.

Are you people freakin kidding me? The woman just had a baby! Hence, the larger breasts... She did NOT look at all FAT. My Gosh, idiots. lip syncing - it's called backtracks. She DID sing some of it. She's a new mom. Give her a break. In that business, she has to promote, and if she's giving more attention to her baby than singing every note on a show, family comes first and I respect her for that. The concept of the performance was awesome, as is the new song. My favorite of the night.

Please, she lipsynched, looked fat--HATE IT. I want the old Xtina back!
