Is Katy Perry excited to be performing at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards Sunday night?

"Come on, it's the VMAs!" she told Usmagazine.com at the MTV VMA Nominee Party on Saturday.

"It's what you grow up watching never thinking that you'd be invited there - let alone playing the VMAs," she said.

Perry also told Us what to expect from her performance.

"They're letting me sing both 'Like a Virgin' and 'I Kissed a Girl,'" she revealed.

She's singing "snapshots" of the Madonna classic and her own hit.

"You know with everything that's going on, they want to celebrate the 25th anniversary [of the VMAs] and you couldn't put 25 years into one show," Perry explained.

But contrary to rumors, there won't be another girl-on-girl smooch at this year's awards.

"You know what's funny is that I heard about that rumor that I was gonna lock lips and there was no plan or anything ever," she told Us.

Not just a performer, Perry is also up for awards, including Best New Artist and Best Female Video.

"I'm just happy I get a good seat," she said. "But, if I could go home with a Moonman, I'd love to go home with 'Best New Artist.' If I don't, I've got a ton of tin foil waiting at home and I'm gonna make my own."

The VMAs air live from Hollywood on MTV Sunday night at 9 p.m.
